Fork What? Fork Who?

Big forkfuls of recipes, how-to’s and reviews…with enough left for second helpings.

I’m a food-obsessed cook, wannabe chef and blogger. Forkit is all about reaching out and scooping up huge forkfuls of foodie goodness. You know the stuff I mean: recipes that make your toes curl, restaurant reviews that cause wringing hands at the thought of another average mushroom risotto, and independent food stores that leave you crying at the contents of your Coles-sponsored cupboard (no offence Coles, but I find your stores soulless).

I plan to one day leave my desk job and become a chef in a restaurant that has the mix just right: sustainable ingredients, a menu that adores good vegetarian food as well as meat dishes – and encourages patrons to try life on the green side, a head chef to work under that is both meticulous and inventive. A pipe dream you say? Well, watch me.

This won’t happen overnight as I have an expensive fiancée to keep and as far as I can tell apprentice chefs are paid in food scraps for the first couple of years. (anyone reading this prepared to pay an apprentice chef in actual money? call me..)

Come. Sit a while. Grab a fork and have a bite or two. I think you’ll like it.
